Yes. You read that correctly. Melinda Doolittle will be featured on NBC's fourth annual, Macy's Fourth of July fireworks spectacular, along with Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

You'll be able to catch the trio singing together live during the event. As of this time, they're featured song is still a mystery.

On July 6, the American Idol tour begins in Sunrise, Florida. The tour is expected to run through the end of summer, and will feature a number of American Idol contestants, in addition to the top three finalists.

Melinda Doolittle is probably anxious to get into the recording studio, and put together her first CD. Let's hope it's out by Christmas. The way she slaps down her vocals, I'm sure it will be no problem for her to get into the groove of producing an album, before the holiday season begins.

So set your TV channel to NBC on July 4, and watch the American Idol finalists sing together. You'll also be entertained by a 'fireworks spectacular', which is set to explode around 35,000 separate fireworks shells. American Idol singers and fireworks, what more can you ask for?

American Idol Final Four

It's getting down to the wire now, and our girl from Brentwood Tennessee, Melinda Doolittle is in the American Idol final four. Can she beat out Blake Lewis, Lakisha Jones, and Jordin Sparks to become the American Idol winner of season six? It's going to be tough, but Melinda is definitely the best vocalist there. If she picks the right songs for her singing style, she's definitely got a shot. Simon sure loves her. He makes a comment about how she's the best on the vocal scale every show.

I'm really glad to see that Melinda has come into her own on the stage these past few weeks. She accepts praise from the judges and the audience, as if she owns it. That's good! There's no need to act surprised Melinda when you are given the accolades you deserve. You're a great singer!

As for the other singers, I'm really glad to see Blake Lewis in the top of the heap. He's willing to try new things, and have fun with it. That's what it's all about. Having fun. Jordin Sparks is also one of my favorite singers on the show. It's good to see her near the top. I knew that Lakisha Jones would make it this far, and I won't be surprised to see her in second place with Melinda taking top honors. We shall see. It will be exciting to watch the show tonight. The Bee Gees, Barry Gibb, will be walking the contestants through this week's pre-performance preparation. It's definitely gotta be a fun American Idol.

First, I've got to say that Gwen Stefani is hot! Secondly, I'd have to agree with Simon about Melinda Doolittle's outfit. What were you thinking! As usual though, Melinda's vocals were right on cue. There's no comparison when listening to other Idol contestants. Melinda Doolittle has the best singing voice in the competition.

Melinda survived another week. This week Chris Sligh got the boot from America. This is good practice for all of the contestants in the American Idol competition. Truthfully though, they can eliminate all but five right now. There's no way, and never will be any way for some of those singers to achieve the same talented voice.

Again this week, Melinda chose a song that suited her. This is one of her strengths. Combine that with awesome vocals, humility, and grace, and you end up with a star performer. We'll be looking forward to watching her perform again next week.

Melinda Doolittle was so into her song tonight, she even made Paula Abdul cry. This American Idol contestant has already become a front runner as the crowd gave her a standing ovation tonight. Simon Cowell compared her to a young Gladys Pip.

She's so shy and reserved, you can't help but love Melinda Doolittle. I predict Melinda is going to win season six of American Idol. And if she doesn't win, you're definitely going to see more of this girl in the future. No more background singing for Ms. Doolittle.

Her best performance has been, I am woman. This was sung last week with such joy and inspiration, she brought the house down with her energy.
